- Always make sure to trim wicks to 1/4 inch before each burn. The type of wicks I use most often do tend to have some mushrooming but I have found that they give a better melt pool than other wicks. Always trim off the mushrooming.
- Allow the melt pool to reach the edges of the container. General rule is one hour of burn per one inch of diameter. (3 inch diameter candle = 3 hours of burn time for proper burn). Sometimes the first burn may take longer to reach a full melt pool than subsequent burns.
- Should not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
- Stop burning the candle when there is 1/4 inch of wax left in the bottom of the container.
- Soy is a natural product and it is normal for the surface to appear uneven, textured, or cratered after burning.
